How We Create Shop Display Models
Obtaining the blueprint
The process of creating a model starts at capturing a 3D image of the model. It can be made from just a sketch, photograph or a 2D version of the model, that is all we need to create its 3D image. If you have the model itself, we scan it using our 3D scanner to create an identical digital 3D representation. Even if you only have an idea right now, our designers will talk to you and create a live 3D design from it.
Creating a digital 3D representation
After creating a 3D image of your model on our computer, we review it for any discrepancies. After we have finalised the design, we pass it to you for the final review. This step is crucial because it dictates the outcome of the final model. That is why our CAD designers create 3D representations of models with high precision according to things such as depth, dimensions, shape, colours and angles.
Using CNC for creating shop display models
The next step in the process is to use our 5-axis computer numerical control (CNC) machine to cut, mould, drill, mill and polish the material. A 5-axis CNC is a sophisticated machine that can work on five different sides (axes) simultaneously. It uses a mini-computer to control its movements. The machine is extremely precise, it can reach even the most difficult places and can work with a wide variety of materials, including metals, stone, plastic and ceramic.
Adding final touches
Once your physical shop display model has been machined, our artists work on its fine details to ensure 100% perfection. Depending on your individual needs, we’ll put the final touches on the model and make it as attractive as possible.
