CNC Milling and Turning

To create perfect shapes, we use precision CNC machining, milling and turning machines. Whichever shape and design you want in your model, AARNE has the best CNC machines to build it. We work with a wide variety of materials, including all types of metal, stone, plastic, fibreglass, ceramic and foam. Our 5-axis CNC machines provide precision cutting and shaping of the most robust materials to help us achieve perfection in your model.

What is CNC Milling and Turning?

CNC milling machines use a mini-computer to control their movements. They are controlled either by a computer or manual override. Our CNC engineers program the device to create highly specific designs. If the machine is working autonomously, it accurately makes cuts and shapes the material on its own. If the design requires manual controlling, our CNC engineers use the manual override and control the cutting and shaping themselves.

CNC turning is a little different from CNC milling, although it also depends on computer commands to cut shapes into the material. It uses single-point cutting tools that stay parallel to the material while the material rotates. The cutting tools can produce specific depths, diameters and designs in the material.

Our CNC milling and turning machines can meet your specific needs while reducing manufacturing time. If your model requires the use of other processes such as drilling, carving, vacuum forming, GRP moulding, 3 printing etc… we combine these methods to give your model a perfect look and feel.

Process of Creating a Model/Prototype

Before the work of a CNC machine begins, our CAD designers create a 3D CAD design of your model. Since CNCs work through a computer, our CNC engineers require a digital map of the model with all of its dimensions and measurements ready. If you have the final CAD design available, we begin the CNC machining process. If not, we build the CAD design with the help of sketches, photographs or ideas you provide. We can also 3D scan an existing object to create its digital duplicate on SolidWorks.

After the CAD designing process is complete, we use CNC milling and turning, or a combination of these methods depending upon the requirements of the model. CNC machining can produce high-quality models and prototypes with a super smooth finish and the exact dimensions you require.

Fast, Customised Production

CNC machining is much faster than any other method of shaping materials. Also, it delivers precise results. These two qualities combined means that you end up with a perfectly constructed model/prototype quickly. Using CNC milling and turning, we have created models of varying shapes, sizes and materials. Whatever your customised needs, we assure you of the highest quality construction and finish.

Since there are times when we have to work to a tight deadline, we keep the raw material in stock or use our highly efficient systems to provide us with the raw material immediately. AARNE uses only the highest quality material and goes to great lengths to ensure the quality of the material we obtain.

AARNE Creates Quality with CNC Milling and Turning

For us, quality is not just the raw material we procure; it lies in every cut and curve we make on the material. We use a variety of processes such as 3D printing, GRP moulding, laser cutting, acrylic and metal fabrication, paint finishing and laser scanning etc… to deliver the highest quality models and prototypes. It is our commitment to quality that has made well-known companies, including Porsche, Harley Davidson, Xbox and Nikon choose us when it comes to building models and prototypes for them.

We have highly trained in-house CAD designers, CNC engineers, artists and technicians who will work on your model to produce a perfect piece of stunning beauty.
